“I put every paddle through 20 hours of league play before it hits the shelf. The Apex is the one I hand to players who want more spin without losing control.”DW
Switched from a big-box paddle and the difference in a week was obvious. The spin on my drops and dinks is insane, but it never feels harsh. Demoed it at the club first, which sold me instantly.
Roll volleys dip and kick in a way my old paddle never managed. The textured face really bites. Looks fantastic in the blue/lime too.
I was worried a carbon face would feel boardy. It doesn’t — the 16mm core keeps it quiet. Drives jump off the face and my elbow thanks me.
Fantastic pop and a big sweet spot. I found the mid weight a little head-heavy at first, so I swapped to the light option and it was perfect. The exchange was painless.
Three weeks of league play and it hasn’t lost its grit. Spin serves are nasty, resets are clean. Edge guard has taken a couple of scrapes without issues.
Moved up from the starter set and it felt like a different sport. More forgiving than I expected for a pro-level paddle.
Honestly it was too lively for my soft game at first, and my dinks sailed. After a couple of weeks I adjusted and now I like it. Might suit a more aggressive player straight away.

The right grip keeps your wrist loose and cuts down on elbow strain. When in doubt, go smaller — you can always build it up with an overgrip.
